My name is Kiel Hames. I was born in New Zealand in the 80’s and have been moderately obsessed with audio and video production since the 90’s.

I remember it clearly; Mum got me my first keyboard, probably one of those original Casios worth a tonne now. I would sit and listen to my favourite TV show themes and learn them as I watched. Naturally, Mum thought I was a savant. She supported my dream which turned into a 25 year career as a musician. Then, they got a video camera. It had a giant screen and you held it like people would when filming with an iPad. My brother and I started making stop motion films around 1994  with our GI Joe, Jurassic Park, and Star Wars toys. Made for some interesting story-telling.
